We help UK businesses to identify & reclaim overpayments of Climate Change Levy (CCL), a government tax on energy bills, for which many businesses are eligible for an exemption/reduction
We’ve been helping businesses and other organisation types to manage their energy portfolios for over 10 years.
Overpaid CCL charges rectified
Years of experience in business energy
Starting as business energy brokers, offering supply contract tariff comparisons, we quickly realised that there are many other untapped areas and emerging technologies which presented opportunities for savings for our clients.
We know that most of our clients appreciate having one point of contact, with a reliable & competent professional company, who can manage everything energy related for them. So, that is what Business Power Ltd does. CCLRebates.co.uk is the Climate Change Levy brand of Business Power Ltd…
We discuss your business & sites, to identify areas where you’re eligible for exemptions and reductions and determine the rate you should have paid, from which we can estimate the overpayment value
We send you a letter of authority, enabling us to request data on your behalf, then request from all your past and present energy suppliers, for all sites, the historic energy data required to calculate the value of your overpayment
We retrospectively calculate the correct rates you should’ve paid (if any), work out how much you’ve overpaid, claim back the overpayments and ensure you’re paying the correct rates moving forwards

Questions new customers regularly ask us
Business energy bills will automatically have Climate Change Levy applied, which should be clearly displayed in the breakdown of your charges, with words to the effect of 'Climate Change Levy @ 0.775p p/kWh X 10,000kWh ='. Business energy suppliers will automatically charge climate change levy, unless you tell them that you're exempt/entitled to a reduction, We not only make sure your supplier is fully aware and charged you correctly moving forwards,
After a quick consultation with us, we can advise whether you're eligible for any exemptions or reductions, in which case, after you've authorised us by signing a letter of authority (enabling us to request data from your suppliers), we'll then be able to request the data from them and assess your historic CCL overpayments
It depends upon the speed of your suppliers in responding and the complexity of your claim. For one site with one supplier we would expect an assessment and rebate to take 1-3 months, for multi-sites, and/or those with multiple suppliers, it may take longer, due to the amount of work involved for us and the suppliers.
